Katie F. Baad, P.E.
Principal
Katie Baad moved from Northern California to Los Angeles in 1995 to acquire a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering at UCLA. She began working
with C. W. Howe Associates in June of 1999 at the original office in Santa Monica during her final year in college. In September of 2004,
Katie became Associate Principal at C. W. Howe Associates and began taking part in all of the business aspects at C. W. Howe Associates
while continuing to engineer commercial, residential, multi-residential and mixed-use projects. Katie obtained her Professional Engineering
license in December of 2001 in California. She is now licensed in California, Nevada, Arizona, Texas, Utah, New Mexico, Oregon, Idaho, Washington,
Wyoming, Colorado and North Carolina. In 2007 Katie became Carl Howe’s business partner and C. W. Howe Associates became C. W. Howe Partners
Inc.
Outside of the office Katie loves to dance and kickbox. She also spends her free time trying out new restaurants, watching televised UFC
and boxing fights and enjoying BBQ’s with family and friends. Katie moved to the South Bay with her husband in 2002 and thoroughly enjoys
the sun, sand and friendly atmosphere in the beach cities.
Katie and her husband Tobe added a baby boy to the family early 2008. Baby Blake has added lots of joy to their lives.
